To promote our best-in-class training infrastructure, President Sean McGarvey and North America’s Building Trades Unions will stop for a media event with state and local leaders in the Madison, Wisconsin area as part of a national Opportunity Pipeline tour on April 3 & 4. The visit will include a number of events to highlight our commitment to craft training and showcase our programs, which expand the opportunity pipeline to meet the moment from all the historic federal infrastructure and workforce development investments. Wednesday, April 3rd at IBEW 159

5303 Fen Oak Drive, Madison

  • 9:00 am: the NABTU team and Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway speak as students arrive to kick off the South Central Building Trades’ Careers in Construction career fair (IBEW apprentice signing ceremony and NABTU tours IBEW 159 during the event)

  • 4:00 pm: Private member Town Hall led by Sean McGarvey (flier below)

Thursday, April 4th at SMART 18 Training Center

150 Communications Drive, Sun Prairie

  • 8:00 am: Coffee and donuts

  • 8:15 – 9:00 am: Training Center Tour

  • 9:00 - 10:00 am: Press event/ speaking program

  • 10:15 am: – Post-event interviews
